Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Axel Tasis got the match started through his kick off. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Aaron Alcocer hit a great ball. 4 minutes into the match, Fausto Kusko had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fausto Kusko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 8 minutes into the match, Caburé Athletic's goalkeeper Salvador Beila had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Axel Tasis. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga got a free kick in the 13th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcus Bailey in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 16 minutes into the game, Marcus Bailey cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hugo Ferrant hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Kusko in the 26th minute of play. In the 35th minute Fausto Kusko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The attack was good, but when Fausto Kusko in the 36th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Caburé Athletic were furious when Delmar Deunoro was red carded, 39 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 40th minute, Delmar Deunoro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 41 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Abel Carballo. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcus Bailey was the one to do the kick off. Rodolfo Abeijon struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caburé Athletic. Marcus Bailey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. In the 55th minute, Tiburcio Lorencio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Prudencio Flor got free with Benito Sanz in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcus Bailey scored 1-4 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Caburé Athletic's Fausto Kusko got a free kick in the 61st minute. After having played for 62 minutes, Axel Tasis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Tasis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prudencio Flor, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After 64 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. In the 65th minute, Prudencio Flor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcus Bailey took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. 73 minutes into the match, Caburé Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but Salvador Beila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Caburé Athletic's Dalmacio Orain got a free kick in the 77th minute. Marcus Bailey struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caburé Athletic. In the 83rd minute Prudencio Flor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Prudencio Flor went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. When the match was over Caburé Athletic could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Costa Rica throughout the match.
