Fellipe Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Inácio Cruz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A sloppy throw-in by Pedrinho Seco in the 34th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Patricio Costa. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Ferdinant Pierewaaijer made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Luís da Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 65 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrado Sarmento in the 68th minute of the match. Marumby's Geraldo de Moraes was substituted for Válbson Pires. In the 70th minute Marumby were awarded a corner. Fellipe Queirós went to the cornerflag to take it. After 72 played minutes Marumby got a freekick which was hit by Bebeto Matorin. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Marumby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinant Pierewaaijer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Inácio Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 77th minute of play. After 78 minutes of play, Marumby's Fellipe Queirós made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Inácio Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 이 선우 kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match.
