Winter is coming
Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Beppe Faiella started the match with the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Franco Carrea in the 4th minute. Amos Urbani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Comunardo Marsili prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Ernesto Ferri sent off a good shot on target. Atletico Kankero's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Frank Fabiani in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Atletico Kankero's goalkeeper Comunardo Marsili, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Amos Urbani kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 3-0 in the 25 minute of play. Beppe Faiella could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Fedele Pedroni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atletico Kankero's supporters rose to their feet, but Fedele Pedroni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Atletico Kankero got a freekick which was hit by Attilio Marchesani. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Ferri in the 57th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 67 minutes into the match, Franco Carrea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Franco Carrea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Amos Urbani scored 6-0 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernesto Ferri's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Atletico Kankero's Ernesto Ferri. But to his dismay, Ernesto Ferri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Atletico Kankero's Ciro Schirru was substituted for Ercole Munno. The supporters of Atletico Kankero booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Comunardo Marsili made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 82nd minute. When Ciro Schirru fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atletico Kankero's protests and gave Ciro Schirru a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Atletico Kankero getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Ciro Schirru hit a great ball. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. After 93 minutes, Attilio Marchesani mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atletico Kankero and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the referee ended the match the Atletico Kankero players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
