A very good chance. 7 minutes into the match, Minho FC's Magno Aparecido sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edmundo Espiga's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Zeferino Diegues firmly grabbed it by the left post. Zeferino Diegues made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Edmundo Espiga sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Magno Aparecido in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lautaro Navarro saved Honduras from getting behind. The supporters of Minho FC booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moises Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lautaro Navarro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Magno Aparecido went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. The supporters of Honduras booed when Minho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yu Ran Zhen didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Valentín Carvallo hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magno Aparecido in the 44th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Minho FC's Demetrio Savini was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lautaro Navarro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 46th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milagros Cabal to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Magno Aparecido stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Magno Aparecido tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Minho FC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edmundo Espiga made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Minho FC were awarded a corner. Demetrio Savini went to the cornerflag to take it. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Rowan Dobson, made in the 56th minute of the game. 57 minutes in the game Rowan Dobson did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Vladimiro Gago. Lautaro Navarro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Magno Aparecido in the 62nd minute. Magno Aparecido was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 63rd minute. Minho FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a rather tough play, Minho FC's Rowan Dobson got a free kick in the 65th minute. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magno Aparecido in the 69th minute of play. 70 minutes into the game, Magno Aparecido cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Lautaro Navarro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Minho FC made a substitution. Hélder Soveral replaced Magno Aparecido. Minho FC made a substitution. Salah el Din Khan replaced Ivo Mourato. A throw-in in the 75th minute of the game was made by Rowan Dobson with Rowan Dobson as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélder Soveral, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. When Hélder Soveral came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Minho FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hélder Soveral couldn't finish the play. Minho FC's Aldo Santana was substituted for Cláudio Santiago. Zeferino Diegues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 86th minute of play. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 0-8 when Hélder Soveral sped through Honduras's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro was out of position in the 93 minute of play, and Hélder Soveral capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hélder Soveral really showed his touch with that goal: 0-9. The Honduras supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Minho FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Minho FC.
