Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Axel Tasis got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute Magno Aparecido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 6 minutes into the match, Minho FC's Magno Aparecido sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 10th minute, Magno Aparecido got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Minho FC's Magno Aparecido. But to his dismay, Magno Aparecido quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 18 minutes of play, Minho FC's Magno Aparecido made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Magno Aparecido came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Minho FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Magno Aparecido couldn't finish the play. Efrain Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. If Demetrio Savini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Minho FC's Magno Aparecido. But to his dismay, Magno Aparecido quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Magno Aparecido kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Magno Aparecido was the one to do the kick off. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magno Aparecido in the 58th minute of play. After 59 minutes of play, Minho FC's Magno Aparecido made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 62 played minutes Minho FC got a freekick which was hit by Demetrio Savini. In the 66th minute of the match Minho FC got a corner. Costa Rica's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Demetrio Savini ran over to the corner to take the kick. Minho FC's Demetrio Savini was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Benito Sanz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Magno Aparecido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Minho FC made a substitution. Salah el Din Khan replaced Ivo Mourato. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Hélder Soveral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélder Soveral in the 75th minute of play. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Minho FC's Hélder Soveral. But to his dismay, Hélder Soveral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. When Minho FC's Hélder Soveral in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. 83 minutes into the match, Minho FC's Hélder Soveral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hélder Soveral's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Yu Ran Zhen might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yu Ran Zhen ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 94th minute, Minho FC's Hélder Soveral dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-10. Minho FC played a much better game than Costa Rica and deserved their victory. The Costa Rica players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
