In the 23rd match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milagros Cabal to maneuver through the defense. Edmundo Espigas short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Róbson Arósio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A sloppy throw-in by Juarês Toledo in the 30th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Christian Sancho. In the 31st minute, Sebastian Villa made a precise shot to the right of Róbson Arósio. ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Róbson Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's Róbson Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 39th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's goalkeeper Róbson Arósio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmundo Espiga. Honduras's Luca Espinar quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Juarês Toledo, made in the 45th minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Lautaro Navarro was a little too slow when Juvenal Corrêa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 2-1. Lautaro Navarro was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Juarês Toledo. In the 57th minute, Sebastian Villa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 65 minutes of play, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Róbson Arósio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Esteban Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After 74 played minutes ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ got a freekick which was hit by Gugu de Toledo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 77th minute of play forced ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's goalkeeper Róbson Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Róbson Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 79th minute of the match. Róbson Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 82 minutes into the game, when Ivan Navarro put in a rough tackle. 81 minutes into the game, one of Honduras:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Christian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Róbson Arósio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Honduras's Christian Sancho in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's goalie prevented a goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Honduras had played much better football throughout.
