Despite this Ricardo Zorita quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Joshua Curbelo hit a great ball. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magno Aparecido, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Magno Aparecido had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Magno Aparecido was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Ricardo Zorita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Minho FC's goalkeeper Zeferino Diegues, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Magno Aparecido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ricardo Zorita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magno Aparecido in the 36th minute of the match. Jesus Carvallo made in the 37th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Abram Luque immediately put the ball in play. Ricardo Zorita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Magno Aparecido went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the El Salvador defense, Magno Aparecido kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Zorita. The El Salvador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Zorita should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Magno Aparecido made the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Minho FC's Magno Aparecido sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ricardo Zorita narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hélder Soveral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardo Zorita read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. After having played for 76 minutes, Hélder Soveral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Minho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hélder Soveral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 77 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Curbelo. In the 79th minute, Hélder Soveral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Zorita was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-10. Minho FC were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after El Salvador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Demetrio Savini took the corner. At last the ball reached Yu Ran Zhen at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of El Salvador. 0-11. Yu Ran Zhen hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Minho FC played a much better game than El Salvador and deserved their victory. The El Salvador players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
