The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of ....... booed when Bolivia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Tejedor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bolivia's Camilo Freixa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Bolivia from getting a goal against them. .......'s Arcan Ekinci got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfonso de la Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Eduardo Fontirroig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Bolivia's Camilo Freixa got control of the ball when Abdurrahim Şahinoğlu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mario Fernandino was the one to do the kick off. If Zafer Erokay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to ....... getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Kahraman Turan hit a great ball. Ahmet Orhan Usal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Ferrant, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. When Zafer Erokay came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the ....... fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zafer Erokay couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Bolivia getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Eduardo Fontirroig hit a great ball. When Kahraman Turan fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored .......'s protests and gave Kahraman Turan a yellow card for diving instead. Julio Chicote charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Julio Chicote the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Bolivia's Julio Chicote got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Mario Fernandino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Ahmet Orhan Usal made a huge save. After 79 minutes of play, .......'s Arcan Ekinci made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Camilo Freixa was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 85th minute, Kahraman Turan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Murathan Olgunsoy came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the ....... fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Murathan Olgunsoy couldn't finish the play. Camilo Freixa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdurrahim Şahinoğlu in the 92nd minute of play. Kahraman Turan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th minute, Zafer Erokay left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ....... fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0.
