Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Progresul Pitesti's Vasile Blănaru started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Karol Czempa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Karol Czempa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 5th minute of the match, Karol Czempa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jonathan Ferrant saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 9th minute Progresul Pitesti were awarded a corner. Florin Logofătu went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Florin Logofătu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Progresul Pitesti's Ezkerra Villasana got a free kick in the 14th minute. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Progresul Pitesti's Martin Tudor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 21st minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Karol Czempa came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karol Czempa in the 31st minute of play. In the 37th minute, Progresul Pitesti's Karol Czempa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. 43 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martin Tudor. Progresul Pitesti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Illescas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 47th minute, Chorache Tofiño made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Progresul Pitesti's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Tudor came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Karol Czempa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martin Tudor made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. 65 minutes into the match, Progresul Pitesti's goalkeeper Martin Tudor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Jose Correa charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jose Correa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Progresul Pitesti's Martin Tudor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Progresul Pitesti from getting a goal against them. In the 80th minute, Patricio Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Martin Tudor made a huge save. After having played for 85 minutes, Chorache Tofiño managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Progresul Pitesti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chorache Tofiño was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Progresul Pitesti's Ezkerra Villasana got a free kick in the 87th minute. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 95th minute. When Chorache Tofiño came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Progresul Pitesti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chorache Tofiño couldn't finish the play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Progresul Pitesti fully deserved thier win.
