A nice corner shot did that Brion Heyros got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcos Cotilla quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Alvino Blanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. C.S.D Punta Ballena's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Tomas Berganza scored to the left of an out of position Remie Kint, making the score, 1-1. Isidoro Sarmiento scored 2-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Remie Kint, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 26th minute, Boguslaw Dziedelonis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.S.D Punta Ballena fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The supporters of Panama booed when C.S.D Punta Ballena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Berganza to strike the kick off in the second half. Brion Heyros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. When Aaron Barrios fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Aaron Barrios a yellow card for diving instead. C.S.D Punta Ballena made a substitution. Terciero Francos replaced Boguslaw Dziedelonis. In the 63rd minute, Aaron Barrios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Remie Kint showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. If Terciero Francos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. But to his dismay, Terciero Francos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Terciero Francos in the 89th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Terciero Francos in the 89th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by C.S.D Punta Ballena's Terciero Francos. But to his dismay, Terciero Francos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-6. The C.S.D Punta Ballena supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing C.S.D Punta Ballena would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
