Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Brent-Jan Blanchaert got the match started through his kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lautaro Puig during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 2 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. Lander Roelands fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 12th minute of the match, Karl De Mesemaekre got a very nice opportunity to score, but Benito Sanz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Eliseo Noboa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jannes Van Meenen having to make a save. In the 17th minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karl De Mesemaekre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the game, Eliseo Noboa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Torpedo Lier the free kick. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. Juan Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Torpedo Lier's Romain Owerckx shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 29th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Benito Sanz but with some difficulty. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jannes Van Meenen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute Brent-Jan Blanchaert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jannes Van Meenen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 47 minutes into the game, Karl De Mesemaekre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Torpedo Lier's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. After 47 played minutes Torpedo Lier got a freekick which was hit by Karl De Mesemaekre.

If Brent-Jan Blanchaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 58 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Costa Rica! Lieven Voet shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Aaron Alcocer charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aaron Alcocer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 63rd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Alcocer to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute Brent-Jan Blanchaert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brent-Jan Blanchaert scored 1-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 86th minute, Walter Neef ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Sem De Leger's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sem De Leger helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th minute, Sem De Leger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the match, Torpedo Lier's goalkeeper Jannes Van Meenen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Puig. Lander Roelands kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Torpedo Lier players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
