Felix Montenegro hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute, Ivan Lopez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Medicover's Antoni Fujara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 31st minute of play forced FC Medicover's goalkeeper Antoni Fujara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivan Lopez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. FC Medicover's Antoni Fujara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of play. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antoni Fujara having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 46th minute of play forced FC Medicover's goalkeeper Antoni Fujara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. 47 minutes into the game, Moez Bejaoui was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Medicover's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Moez Bejaoui hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Moez Bejaoui to strike the kick off in the second half. Moez Bejaoui's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Anselmo Piccone got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Antoni Fujara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 67th minute of play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Medicover made a substitution. Jaroslaw Wodaszak replaced Bernard Cempa. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Cristian Sancho hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Ivan Lopez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Ivan Lopez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, FC Medicover's Antoni Fujara got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Michal Ochylski came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michal Ochylski in the 90th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Andino to maneuver through the defense. Michal Ochylski took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because FC Medicover had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
