Szczakersi RACIBUR's Leon Brack played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 22nd minute of play. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Renatinho Lago tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 28th minute of play forced Szczakersi RACIBUR's goalkeeper Leon Brack to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 29th minute. Joshua Secada was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Izydor Motyl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leon Brack. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Leon Brack made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 44th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Jose Correa fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jose Correa a yellow card for diving instead. After 97 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Szczakersi RACIBUR fully deserved thier win.
