A throw-in in the 4th minute of the game was made by Jose Carita with Abraham Alguacil as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Abraham Alguacil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Lester Serre made a huge save. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonides Rosio in the 8th minute of the match. In the 16th minute Leonides Rosio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute San Lorenzo de Sarandi were awarded a corner. Elias Honrio went to the cornerflag to take it. At last the ball reached Venancio Piorno at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Panama. 0-1. In the 22nd match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Cambeiro to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonides Rosio in the 27th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lester Serre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to San Lorenzo de Sarandi getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Camilo Mouricio hit a great ball. After 37 played minutes, Panama's Abraham Alguacil shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lester Serre came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Panama reached it. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Ivan Errando was substituted for Venancio Piorno. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonides Rosio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo de Sarandi's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Lester Serre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jose Carita's late challenge caught a San Lorenzo de Sarandi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Carita helped the player get up and apologised. After 89 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Barrios. After having played for 90 minutes, Ceferino Cuervo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Lorenzo de Sarandi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ceferino Cuervo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ceferino Cuervo in the 91st minute of the match. San Lorenzo de Sarandi were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after Panama's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lorenzo Jerrold took the corner. A very nice done corner allowed Kay Oppenheim to score against Marcos Cotilla in Panama's goal. 0-3 after 93 minutes. Marcos Cotilla was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Lorenzo Jerrold capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lorenzo Jerrold really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. San Lorenzo de Sarandi's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
