Primitivo Escribano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonard Gregersen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Paraguay were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Kovlands IF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaime Pardo took the corner. After 15 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Alan Campos. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hans Lilleeng in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Nores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leonard Gregersen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Pardo in the 17th minute. Alan Campos charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alan Campos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alan Campos hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Leonard Gregersen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Pardo in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute, Alan Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hans Lilleeng in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacobo Nores saved Paraguay from getting behind. A collision led to Kovlands IF getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Leon Jenssen hit a great ball. John-Einar Astrup hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Kovlands IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Øren didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 43 played minutes Kovlands IF got a freekick which was hit by Leon Jenssen. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Jacobo Nores made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hans Lilleeng in the 51st minute. After 53 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Hector Covarrubias. John-Einar Astrup hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Leonard Gregersen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Pardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Pardo in the 67th minute of play forced Kovlands IF's goalkeeper Leonard Gregersen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jaime Pardo kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Dag Anderssen's late challenge caught a Paraguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dag Anderssen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th minute, Dag Anderssen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leon Jenssen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paraguay's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
