When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Tomas Illescas put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Vali Armanca. Vali Armanca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 16th minute of the match. After having played for 17 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 33rd minute of play forced Vlashers's goalkeeper Vali Armanca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vali Armanca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vali Armanca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 43rd minute of play forced Vlashers's goalkeeper Vali Armanca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Vali Armanca came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas. But to his dismay, Tomas Illescas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Vali Armanca in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vali Armanca having to make a save. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vlashers's goalie prevented a goal. A hard shot 65 in the game by Patricio Costa from a close distance when the talented Vali Armanca managed to make a qualified save. Vlashers's players were relieved. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Venezuela's attentive Salvador Gisbert managed to snatch the ball when David Tudose made a throw-in in the 69th minute of the game. Camilo Gaos made in the 72nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Tomas Illescas. In the 75th minute of the match, Joshua Secada tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vali Armanca saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A hard shot 76 in the game by Tomas Illescas from a close distance when the talented Vali Armanca managed to make a qualified save. Vlashers's players were relieved. The crowd rose to their feet as Jose Correa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vali Armanca. That made the score 0-6 in the 79 minute of play. In the 82nd minute, David Tudose hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vali Armanca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Illescass short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Vali Armanca to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpected shot in the 87th minute by Patricio Costa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Vali Armanca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. Tomas Illescas in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vali Armanca, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 92nd minute of play forced Vlashers's goalkeeper Vali Armanca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Tudose hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. When the match was over Venezuela could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Vlashers throughout the match.
