After 8 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. In the 12th minute, Sören Gregersson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Venezuela's Jose Correa quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Pål Svanberg, made in the 15th minute of the game. Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Karl-Magnus Bergman, made in the 16th minute of the game. Kent Näver showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 19th minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Patricio Costa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Kent Näver quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sören Gregersson in the 25th minute of play. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Kent Näver made a huge save. 31 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Magnus Bergman came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Hääger came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Peder Alström in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Peder Alström made a kick off. The supporters of Venezuela booed when INIXET BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kjell-Arne Fredriksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when INIXET BK's Carl Kalfhage fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. 62 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Peder Alström came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute of the match, Carl Kalfhage got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jonathan Ferrant was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of INIXET BK booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Carl Kalfhage kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Venezuela's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Peder Alström 74 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-7. Pål Svanberg kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Carl Kalfhage got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kent Näver stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. In the 92nd minute, Patricio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. INIXET BK played a much better game than Venezuela and deserved their victory. The Venezuela players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
