The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 2nd minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. If Sever Piţurcă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC TraLaLa's Aristide Răduț played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 11th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Bogdan Gogea in the 12th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Uruguay's Arturo Carvallo. Aristide Răduț took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, FC TraLaLa's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Gisbert came free, but Aristide Răduț reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 28 minutes, Costin Mocanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC TraLaLa and the Uruguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paul Romeo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. FC TraLaLa's Aristide Răduț played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 59th minute of play. After having played for 60 minutes, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute, Bogdan Gogea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francisco Seco in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aristide Răduț, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Paul Romeo kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aristide Răduț saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uruguay played a much better game than FC TraLaLa and deserved their victory. The FC TraLaLa players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
