Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kubat Tuğrul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 6th minute of play. Kubat Tuğrul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montes got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 13th minute, Juan Sebastián Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miromir Dzerwucki in the 14th minute. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kubat Tuğrul. Kubat Tuğrul dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 21st minute Monte Susanin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Wang Kun Yang cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kubat Tuğrul didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luis Andino went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Kubat Tuğrul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luis Andino took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kubat Tuğrul. Kubat Tuğrul dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Kubat Tuğrul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The The Old Boys players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulino Sayvion to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulino Sayvion in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kubat Tuğrul breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulino Sayvion in the 62nd minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Juan Sebastián Puig the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ecuador protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Juan Sebastián Puig had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of The Old Boys booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isidro Gartzi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by The Old Boys's Wang Kun Yang. But to his dismay, Wang Kun Yang quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidro Gartzi in the 92nd minute of play.
