In the 20th minute Umur Renan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Cortez in the 22nd minute of the match. Helmuth Duckadam stood somewhat misplaced when Julian Murillo came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 23 minute. After 32 played minutes FC Ruscova got a freekick which was hit by Umur Renan. 35 minutes into the match, FC Ruscova's goalkeeper Helmuth Duckadam had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Milagros Fraga. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Peru's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Roger Romary was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Ruscova's players had a chance to rest. Luz Tejedor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Helmuth Duckadam made a huge save.

Efraim Gilabert kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. FC Ruscova's Roger Romary shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 51st minute of play. FC Ruscova's Helmuth Duckadam tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 61 minutes FC Ruscova's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Ruscova's goalkeeper Helmuth Duckadam, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 74 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Kian Natanael came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Helmuth Duckadam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Mina in the 77th minute of the match. Joaquin Prats kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Roger Romary managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Ruscova's supporters rose to their feet, but Roger Romary was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peru's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
