Rex Wall went to the cornerflag to take it. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Stonehouse in the 21st minute of play. Tomas Illescas hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Damian Stonehouse reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 4-0. A hard shot 43 in the game by Matthew Brookman from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Damian Stonehouse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patricio Costa during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, Damian Stonehouse notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 58th minute of play forced Egg Chasers FC's goalkeeper Fabien Barthez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Peter Crouch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabien Barthez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. 67 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Stonehouse came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 74 minutes of play, Egg Chasers FC's Damian Stonehouse made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Crouch in the 82nd minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Stonehouse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Damian Stonehouse stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Damian Stonehouse tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Crouch in the 87th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Damian Stonehouse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Crouch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthew Brookman, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Egg Chasers FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
