Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dag Anderssen in the 34th minute of the match. Leon Jenssen took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. A collision led to Kovlands IF getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Espen Husøy hit a great ball. Leonard Gregersen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Tasis in the 39th minute. 41 minutes into the game, Dag Anderssen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonard Gregersen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Hans Lilleeng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Kovlands IF's Martin Minge got a free kick in the 59th minute. Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abel Carballo's late challenge caught a Kovlands IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 85 minutes of play Kovlands IF's Noah Tømmervik was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground.
