Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Benito Sanz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 22 minutes into the match, Waldemar Walkowski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Waldemar Walkowski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, Benito Sanz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Axel Tasis hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute of the match Leszek Bara shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Juan Rubio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Olaf Brytka showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Artur Golota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 41st match minute, Inter Miami was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Slawomir Bambas to maneuver through the defense. If Artur Golota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Waldemar Walkowski was the one to do the kick off. When Wasyl Zahemski came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Inter Miami fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wasyl Zahemski couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Abel Carballo hit a great ball. In the 55th minute of the match Slawomir Tylinski shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Hugo Ferrant hit a great ball. Wasyl Zahemski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 61 minutes of play, Inter Miami's Waldemar Walkowski made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zbigniew Gregorczyk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. The supporters of Inter Miami booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Hugo Ferrant hit a great ball. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Waldemar Walkowski's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Walkowski in the 74th minute of play. Inter Miami's Olaf Brytka proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Inter Miami from getting a goal against them. Ludomil Banas's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ludomil Banas helped the player get up and apologised. Olaf Brytka made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Lautaro Puig sent off a good shot on target. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldemar Walkowski in the 88th minute of the match. After 88 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Juan Rubio. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Inter Miami fully deserved thier win.
