Abdurrahim Şahinoğlu started the match with the kick off. Zafer Erokay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. In the 16th minute Abdurrahim Şahinoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arcan Ekinci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdurrahim Şahinoğlu in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Jaime Pardo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ahmet Orhan Usal, 1-0. Zafer Erokay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. When Abdurrahim Şahinoğlu came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the ....... fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdurrahim Şahinoğlu couldn't finish the play. Metin Adalıoğlu hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Metin Adalıoğlu charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Metin Adalıoğlu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to ....... getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Metin Adalıoğlu hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in .......'s zone, Jaime Pardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet Orhan Usal came out of the goal and Jaime Pardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abdurrahim Şahinoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. After 48 minutes of play .......'s Metin Adalıoğlu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 49 played minutes ....... got a freekick which was hit by Metin Adalıoğlu. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Paraguay's Jacobo Nores proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Paraguay from getting a goal against them. Ahmet Orhan Usal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. The supporters of Paraguay booed when ....... was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raşit Kanat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Murathan Olgunsoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Pardo in the 78th minute of play forced .......'s goalkeeper Ahmet Orhan Usal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacobo Nores made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Zafer Erokay sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 87 minutes, Arcan Ekinci managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. .......'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Arcan Ekinci was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 91 minutes into the game, Kahraman Turan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. .......'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paraguay the free kick. After a rather tough play, .......'s Kahraman Turan got a free kick in the 91st minute. Zafer Erokay struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Jacobo Nores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ........ The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Paraguay had won after a very even match.
