If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leontin Voinescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 38th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hannes Ekrot during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hannes Ekrot hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sabin Cartiș in the 41st minute. Fabian Gilesindo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. After 45 played minutes Hope AFC got a freekick which was hit by Cristo Dimo. Leontin Voinescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 48th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Hope AFC's Marin Mereacre was substituted for Augustin Ciocoiu. The wind increased when Fabian Gilesindo made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Leontin Voinescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 54th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leontin Voinescu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Lautaro Mancebo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Leontin Voinescu firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Leontin Voinescu in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the match, Sabin Cartiș had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sabin Cartiș was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Avram Beșliu fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hope AFC's protests and gave Avram Beșliu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Hope AFC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Avram Beșliu hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Hope AFC defense, Lautaro Mancebo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leontin Voinescu. The Hope AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leontin Voinescu should have stopped the shot. Leontin Voinescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leontin Voinescu having to interfere. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Lautaro Mancebo hit a great ball. Cristo Dimo's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristo Dimo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th match minute, Hope AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristo Dimo to maneuver through the defense. 91 minutes into the game, Dorin Miulescu threw the ball into play from the sideline. Mexico's Facundo Cadaval quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a rather tough play, Hope AFC's Emiliano Luke got a free kick in the 94th minute. Mexico were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
