Valdemar Olsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 4th minute of the match. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 15 minutes into the game, Mexico's Luca Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valdemar Olsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Joel Gaona struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Valdemar Olsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. After 27 minutes, Tony Adams mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Libra and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of Libra:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mexico:s goal. 27 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valdemar Olsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 30th minute of play forced Libra's goalkeeper Valdemar Olsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Libra's Valdemar Olsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 31st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armin Nestares got free with Dante Lacasa in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. 38 minutes into the match, Libra's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Valdemar Olsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luca Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Valdemar Olsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdemar Olsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 46th minute of play. Joel Gaona scored 0-3 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valdemar Olsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Valdemar Olsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luca Zorita got free with Valdemar Olsson in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Macos Graciani hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Armin Nestares came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armin Nestares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Libra getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Mauricio Portillo hit a great ball. Alberto Tafalla was extremely unlucky when he, in the 69th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Macos Graciani kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, Libra's goalkeeper Valdemar Olsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdemar Olsson having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Valdemar Olsson to make any attempt to save it. Alberto Tafalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valdemar Olsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 84th minute. Valdemar Olsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigge Fürst in the 92nd minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, Badaz Bonk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Libra's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. In the 95th minute, Badaz Bonk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
