Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Allan Shearer got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montes to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Cédric Payen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Antonio Arias got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 9th match minute, Minerul Baita -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Allan Shearer to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 13th minute of play forced Minerul Baita -MM-'s goalkeeper Nistor Maghiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 14 minutes Minerul Baita -MM-'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Nistor Maghiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nistor Maghiar saved Minerul Baita -MM- from getting behind. After 20 minutes, Cristian Sancho made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Minerul Baita -MM-'s Nistor Maghiar tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Rareș Comișel kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nistor Maghiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Minerul Baita -MM-'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nistor Maghiar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. After 50 minutes, Cristian Sancho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Minerul Baita -MM- players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Minerul Baita -MM- booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Octav Albescu kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Shearer in the 57th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute, Niculae Şantău got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. Allan Shearer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan Shearer in the 71st minute of play. Luis Andino's late challenge caught a Minerul Baita -MM-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan Shearer in the 88th minute of play. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Nistor Maghiar made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Shearer in the 92nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
