Hogans Heroes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonardo Persson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sven-Oskar Åhman did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-2 to the left of a surprised Dante Lacasa 45 minutes into the match.

Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Forssell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hogans Heroes's Emil Wahlström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Hogans Heroes from getting a goal against them. Harry Forssell scored 5-3 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Hogans Heroes had won after a very even match.
