Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the game, Luis Cazalla threw the ball into play from the sideline. Gremio Viana's Amado Melo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 3rd minute, Gremio Viana's Joaquim Paredes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Gremio Viana's Tony Påk got a free kick in the 7th minute. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Samuel Fiúza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 18th minute of play. Joaquim Paredes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. It was a well-played corner which Pascual Carballar managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 28 minutes into the game, Colombia's Axel Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Samuel Fiúza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 34th minute, Higino Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orlando Tafalla, 35 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Paredes in the 37th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Gremio Viana's Severino Torcato got a free kick in the 39th minute. Samuel Fiúza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The supporters of Gremio Viana booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joaquim Paredes made a kick off. The corner ended in Pascual Carballar almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Gremio Viana's Samuel Fiúza did a great save. Samuel Fiúza was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Abram Sarmiento capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Abram Sarmiento really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Gremio Viana's Tony Påk quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Luis Cazalla, made in the 64th minute of the game. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. After 74 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Santino Seco. In the 76th match minute, Gremio Viana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabrizio Crognale to maneuver through the defense. Samuel Fiúza made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Ignacio Mastache sent off a good shot on target. 80 minutes into the match, Gremio Viana's goalkeeper Samuel Fiúza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ignacio Mastache. 83 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Luna came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 84 minutes, Antonio Calisto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gremio Viana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonio Calisto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Gremio Viana's Carlos Luna. But to his dismay, Carlos Luna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 90th minute of the game. One of Colombia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gremio Viana:s goal. Carlos Luna blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Manzanares having to make a save. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Luna, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. 95 minutes into the game, Carlos Luna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
