The audience was convinced that Gunnar Hellström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcos Cotilla was relentless in the 48th minute of the game.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rune Utfal in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Cotilla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chimpanserna FC's Björn Arvidsson was substituted for Rickard Wallengren. Gunnar Hellström kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After 72 played minutes Chimpanserna FC got a freekick which was hit by Egon Rudkvist. After 87 played minutes Chimpanserna FC got a freekick which was hit by Everardo Lopes. After having played for 92 minutes, Gunnar Hellström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chimpanserna FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gunnar Hellström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alex Cambeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Chimpanserna FC's attentive Peter Hääger managed to snatch the ball when Jose Carita made a throw-in in the 95th minute of the game. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gunnar Hellström in the 96th minute of play.
