An unexpectedly hard shot by German Evarado in the 9th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Freestylers's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Yuan Lei Jing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from German Evarado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Freestylers's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Björn Lachenicht in the 14th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cassius Byrne got free with Yuan Lei Jing in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Musa Bardakçı in the 59th minute of play. Yuan Lei Jing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 62nd minute of the match. Yuan Lei Jing made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cassius Byrne in the 64th minute. USA were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Freestylers to leave the ground with a draw.
