Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Eckehard Deckert took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrad Furesi in the 3rd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Eckehard Deckert's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eckehard Deckert in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Herminio Iztal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute Eckehard Deckert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 20th minute of play forced Odeweg FSV's goalkeeper Herminio Iztal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Odeweg FSV getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Klaus Urban hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the match, Odeweg FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Herminio Iztal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eckehard Deckert. In the 41st minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Luca Zorita heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 51st minute of play forced Odeweg FSV's goalkeeper Herminio Iztal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Odeweg FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Herminio Iztal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th match minute, Odeweg FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edward Kalnik to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute, Odeweg FSV's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eckehard Deckert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eckehard Deckert hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After having played for 73 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Lautaro Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Mancebo couldn't finish the play. Luca Zorita hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match.
