Herminio Iztal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 4th minute of the match. Herminio Iztal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Herminio Iztal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 9th minute of play. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Conrad Furesi sent off a good shot on target. Herminio Iztal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Herminio Iztal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Herminio Iztal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Herminio Iztal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 37th minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrad Furesi in the 40th minute of play. Conrad Furesi succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 40th playminute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Odeweg FSV's Herminio Iztal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 51st minute of play. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Herminio Iztal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th match minute, Odeweg FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klaus Urban to maneuver through the defense. Herminio Iztal was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Daniel Zorita. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Herminio Iztal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 70th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Conrad Furesi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Conrad Furesi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herminio Iztal having to interfere. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrad Furesi in the 79th minute of play. Herminio Iztal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 80th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Conrad Furesi came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
