In the 79thth minute of the game Marco Valadares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bolivia's Camilo Freixa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 81 played minutes Bolivia got a freekick which was hit by Benito Madrid. If Haroldo Sanches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that E.C 2 Janeiro RS were the better team. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
