Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Juarês Fantini when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 10th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by The Best Ones's Alexandre Tande. But to his dismay, Alexandre Tande quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 16thth minute of the game Deivid Passos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 18th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juarês Fantini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Juarês Fantini was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and Daniel Zorita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Zorita really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. The Best Ones's Juarês Fantini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 33rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Vicente Quintal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. After 39 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Alexandre Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute, The Best Ones's Vicente Quintal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Vera. Julio Vera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Juarês Fantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 63rd minute of play. Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Deivid Passos scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 1-4. The supporters of Ecuador booed when The Best Ones was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Quintal didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was a well-played corner which Felix Montes managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 2-4 when Cristian Sancho sped through The Best Ones's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Juarês Fantini. Juarês Fantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 78th minute of play. Deivid Passos in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Deivid Passos sent off a good shot on target. The Ecuador manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing The Best Ones to win.
