The coaching staff of Costa Rica protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Abel Carballo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Benito Sanz had in the 12thth minute some difficulties stopping Yane Topuzakov's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 13th minute Yane Topuzakov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 温钢军 during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 22 minutes into the match, Harvey The Hedgehog's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Noboa came free, but Sebastian Guipuzkoa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harvey The Hedgehog's 温钢军 managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Efrain Moruga in the 34 minute of the game. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eliseo Noboa made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alex Orsi. The audience was convinced that Alex Orsi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 68th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Moruga to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Orsi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Despite this Benito Sanz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 77th minute, Alexander Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. But to his dismay, Alex Orsi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 84 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alex Orsi. 86 minutes into the game, Yane Topuzakov recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Sanz. Yane Topuzakov showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. 89 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Yane Topuzakov came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alex Orsi in the 91st minute. Alex Orsi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Yane Topuzakov took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. The Costa Rica fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Harvey The Hedgehog were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
