Abdullah Oskan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dante Lacasa came out and tried to block the shot, but Abdullah Oskan slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 40th minute. Joel Gaona scored 2-1 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alto Muro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Mexico booed when Cesano Boscone was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Hauser didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Joel Gaona struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Alto Muro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico.
