Julian Murillo started the match with the kick off. Llorian Bullon hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. 4 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fırat Aytekin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alonso Berganza kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Johannes Kruuse came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru's Alonso Berganza quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Valdecir Carlos, made in the 15th minute of the game. Fırat Aytekin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fırat Aytekin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milagros Fraga in the 32nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 35th minute of play forced S.C. Corinthians Paulista's goalkeeper Fırat Aytekin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cícero Dionísio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 38 minute of play. The supporters of Peru booed when S.C. Corinthians Paulista was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdecir Carlos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Johannes Kruuse to make the kick off. Rolando Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Fırat Aytekin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luz Tejedor in the 57th minute. Eliseo Mina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The throw-in from Valdecir Carlos in the 61st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. When Peru's Julian Murillo in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye S.C. Corinthians Paulista's goalie prevented a goal. Eliseo Mina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. S.C. Corinthians Paulista made a substitution. Zuberoa Ezquerra replaced Nildo Rosa. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Evandro Trancoso was substituted for Johannes Kruuse. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Rafinha Orange was substituted for Edgard de Lima. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro da Silveira in the 81st minute of play. In the 85th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milagros Fraga to maneuver through the defense. Zuberoa Ezquerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Noboa having to interfere. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Fırat Aytekin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Tenorio in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd minute Evandro Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 94 in the game by Rafael Gallo from a close distance when the talented Fırat Aytekin managed to make a qualified save. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's players were relieved. In the 95th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Tenorio to maneuver through the defense. Peru's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because S.C. Corinthians Paulista had won, even though Peru had held more of the ball.
