Lúcio Miranda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Demonde Jacobson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Décio Salgado in the 10th minute of the match. When Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's Luís Quintal in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A collision led to Jamaica getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Romon Oliver hit a great ball. Décio Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demonde Jacobson having to interfere. In the 27th match minute, Jamaica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Finlay Stair to maneuver through the defense. Demonde Jacobson came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's Luís Quintal. But to his dismay, Luís Quintal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Jamaica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Válter Machado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. 39 minutes into the match, Jamaica's goal looked a bit too open when Décio Salgado came free, but Demonde Jacobson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute, Gilson Valadares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Jamaall Padmore hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute of the match Válter Machado sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Demonde Jacobson skillfully saved the ball. Demonde Jacobson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Décio Salgado to strike the kick off in the second half. Luís Quintal succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-6 in the 53rd playminute. Juninho Payet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demonde Jacobson having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's Gilson Valadares dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-7. Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Décio Salgado in the 61st minute of play. Demonde Jacobson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murillo Pitta, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Murillo Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demonde Jacobson having to interfere. After some careless play in the Jamaica defense, Murillo Pitta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Demonde Jacobson. The Jamaica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Demonde Jacobson should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juninho Payet got free with Demonde Jacobson in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Demonde Jacobson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juninho Payet in the 86th minute of play. Jamaall Padmore hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Válter Machado missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 90 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Demonde Jacobson right hand side. Jamaica's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Luís Quintal 92 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-10. Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murillo Pitta in the 95th minute of play. Demonde Jacobson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilson Valadares's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. When the match was over Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Jamaica throughout the match.
