But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moises Fernandino couldn't finish the play. In the 29th minute Zafer Erokay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moises Fernandino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmet Orhan Usal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Moises Fernandino in the 41st minute. In the 44th minute Abdurrahim Şahinoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abdurrahim Şahinoğlu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
