Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Uruguay's Francisco Seco started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Valdir Magalhães kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valdir Magalhães in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Uruguay's Francisco Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Francisco Seco hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. When Alberto Gisbert fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uruguay's protests and gave Alberto Gisbert a yellow card for diving instead. After 17 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Gisbert. The supporters of Uruguay booed when OTTO FC - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dênis Prata didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cafu Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 19th minute of play. Cafu Linares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Francisco Seco struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Cafu Linares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maximiliano Escribano in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cafu Linares saved OTTO FC - FSCMZ from getting behind. Cássio Peixoto took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. A collision led to OTTO FC - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Manuel Pinho hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Uruguay's Kevin Carballal seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Kevin Carballal the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Uruguay protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Kevin Carballal had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Kevin Carballal got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute Dênis Prata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Germano Vasconcelos's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Germano Vasconcelos helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, OTTO FC - FSCMZ's Germano Vasconcelos got a free kick in the 36th minute. Geovanni Sabóia hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. OTTO FC - FSCMZ's Valdir Magalhães came free and shot a quick shot against goal 45 minutes in the game, fortunately Joaquin Gayoso had problems saving as it came toward the left post. In the 47th minute OTTO FC - FSCMZ were awarded a corner. Dênis Prata went to the cornerflag to take it. Germano Vasconcelos was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valdir Magalhães to make the kick off. When Cássio Peixoto came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the OTTO FC - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cássio Peixoto couldn't finish the play. Alberto Gisbert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Cafu Linares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cafu Linares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Cafu Linares in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 65 minutes into the game, Cássio Peixoto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. OTTO FC - FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uruguay the free kick. After a rather tough play, OTTO FC - FSCMZ's Cássio Peixoto got a free kick in the 66th minute. Cafu Linares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Francisco Seco dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cafu Linares, 1-2. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Cafu Linares made a huge save. A collision led to OTTO FC - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Germano Vasconcelos hit a great ball. 76 minutes into the match, Francisco Seco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cafu Linares. OTTO FC - FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francisco Seco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. With his leg Cafu Linares managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when Uruguay's Francisco Seco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdir Magalhães in the 93rd minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uruguay's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
