Teo Tiniebra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roldan Peñalba, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Mohamed Algarchar's zone, Roldan Peñalba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teo Tiniebra came out of the goal and Roldan Peñalba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th minute Juan Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teo Tiniebra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejo Perrando in the 33rd minute of play forced Fuerza Amarilla's goalkeeper Yambay Vizcaino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Fuerza Amarilla's zone, Julian Guillelme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yambay Vizcaino came out of the goal and Julian Guillelme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fuerza Amarilla's Yambay Vizcaino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alejo Perrando in the 39th minute of play. After 39 played minutes Fuerza Amarilla got a freekick which was hit by Estrada Perdiz. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alejo Perrando to strike the kick off in the second half. If Efrain Ferrer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fuerza Amarilla's goalkeeper Yambay Vizcaino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Yambay Vizcaino made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Alejo Perrando sent off a good shot on target. Evelio Mino kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Mohamed Algarchar's Godofredo Abreu was substituted for Alejo Perrando. In the 71st minute, Evelio Mino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teo Tiniebra showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Almeida in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teo Tiniebra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Yambay Vizcaino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingos Nastasio, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mohamed Algarchar eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
