Estrela Solitária's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandrinho Hoffmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sandrinho Hoffmann in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. 29 minutes into the match, Estrela Solitária's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Benjamim Dante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sandrinho Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benjamim Dante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 40 minutes into the game, Pedro Luiz Ferreira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zoritas short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Benjamim Dante to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Benjamim Dante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute Estrela Solitária were awarded a corner. Chicão Amorim went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Chicão Amorim got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 71st minute. Guilherme Peixoto kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Benjamim Dante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 75th minute of the match. Estrela Solitária's Benjamim Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 81st minute of play. 1-1 became the score in the 82nd minute when Daniel Zorita elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 84th match minute, Estrela Solitária was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guilherme Peixoto to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Estrela Solitária's goalkeeper Benjamim Dante, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Benjamim Dante didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
