A collision led to 1 FC Elbląg getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Zachary Jarosz hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in 1 FC Elbląg's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Einaras Čizauskas came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Einaras Čizauskas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After 19 played minutes 1 FC Elbląg got a freekick which was hit by Waldemar Rzeszutko. In the 20th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Einaras Čizauskas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Einaras Čizauskas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Einaras Čizauskas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luis Andino hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when 1 FC Elbląg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Goodness I didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Felix Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Einaras Čizauskas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 45th minute, Vilis Lācis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tolek Burdzel kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jerzy Prochko made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 51st minute of play forced 1 FC Elbląg's goalkeeper Einaras Čizauskas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tobiasz Banan in the 52nd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Jerzy Prochko came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zachary Jarosz in the 57th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 78th minute. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Einaras Čizauskas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Einaras Čizauskas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Einaras Čizauskas was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Daniel Zorita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Zorita really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. After having played for 87 minutes, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustín Saelices was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Zorita shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 1 FC Elbląg's Einaras Čizauskas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than 1 FC Elbląg.
