Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kahraman Turan in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Zafer Erokay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arcan Ekinci hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmundo Espiga got free with Ahmet Orhan Usal in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Edmundo Espiga made the kick off in the second half. Honduras's Luca Espinar managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Recai Ersayın in the 51 minute of the game. Murathan Olgunsoy hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Recai Ersayın during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, .......'s Recai Ersayın got a free kick in the 57th minute. If Sebastian Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Kahraman Turan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lautaro Navarro. That made the score 1-1 in the 88 minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Recai Ersayın in the 91st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Valentín Carvallo. Recai Ersayın made in the 95th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Luca Espinar. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
