An unexpectedly hard shot by Maxi Gambetta in the 15th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Mexico booed when ŦɚȠɚʁ ɃȃҤ₠ ►eryx◄™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nemesio Cedro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Altay Bayındır, 1-1. Altay Bayındır made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 43rd minute of play. With a little luck, ŦɚȠɚʁ ɃȃҤ₠ ►eryx◄™'s Altay Bayındır got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Altay Bayındır showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Diego Godin hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Hamza Gündüz in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Leonardo Leoz hit a great ball. A throw-in in the 83rd minute of the game was made by Leonardo Leoz with Lautaro Mancebo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Alberto Tafalla took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Altay Bayındır. Altay Bayındır dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Altay Bayındır came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. In the 96th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Altay Bayındır saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that Mexico were the better team. Mexico's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
