Cachila's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Gustavo Hartz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Terri Moco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Manzanares was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. A.A. Cachila's Gustavo Hartz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 17th minute of play. Colombia's Axel Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Terri Moco in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Manzanares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Axel Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colombia's supporters rose to their feet, but Axel Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustavo Hartz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Axel Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Cachila's Nelson Muntz got a free kick in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute of the match Axel Montenegro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gustavo Hartz skillfully saved the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abram Sarmiento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 56 minutes, Terri Moco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.A. Cachila's supporters crossed their fingers, but Terri Moco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Terri Moco, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. With a little luck, A.A. Cachila's Gustavo Hartz got control of the ball when Axel Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 65th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Hartz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute of the match Colombia got a corner. A.A. Cachila's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Montenegro ran over to the corner to take the kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Colombia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for A.A. Cachila.
