Kevin Mastache received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Dieguinho Paraíba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dieguinho Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute Eusebius Smolarek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Naycho Mollov made in the 17th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Gergin Tilev. In the 19th minute Santino Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dieguinho Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dieguinho Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes in the game Naycho Mollov did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Eusebius Smolarek. 23 minutes into the game, Ahmet Haşim Temizhan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manchester United FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Colombia the free kick. Dieguinho Paraíba was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Axel Montenegro. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Santino Seco sped through Manchester United FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dieguinho Paraíba. After 33 minutes of play, Colombia's Axel Montenegro made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. If Eusebius Smolarek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebius Smolarek in the 41st minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Manchester United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Dieguinho Paraíba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Trifon Ivanov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 46 played minutes Manchester United FC got a freekick which was hit by Gergin Tilev. 48 minutes into the match, Manchester United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Dieguinho Paraíba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Junior Shevchenko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pedro Manzanares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Junior Shevchenko showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-5 in the 84 minute of play. Manchester United FC made a substitution. Stoyko Makarinov replaced Naycho Mollov. 俞谦平 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Manchester United FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
