Western Springs
Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Emmanuel Corley sent off a good shot on target. Western Springs FC were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Emmanuel Corley took the corner. After taking down the ball on Western Springs FC's corner Emmanuel Corley fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Garrett Brock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hal Mackey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 25th minute of play. Hal Mackey came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Hal Mackey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 31st minute of play. Lionel Egan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hal Mackey. Hal Mackey dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Hal Mackey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Hal Mackey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 45 minutes, Garrett Brock managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Western Springs FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Garrett Brock was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Western Springs FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Hal Mackey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hal Mackey. Hal Mackey dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. The Western Springs FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-3.

Western Springs FC's Kerry McDonald was substituted for Garrett Brock. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emmanuel Corley to make the kick off. With a little luck, Western Springs FC's Hal Mackey got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Western Springs FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Daniel Zorita scored to the left of an out of position Hal Mackey, making the score, 1-4. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 75th minute, which Hal Mackey however easily saved by the left post. 78 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Hal Mackey was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hal Mackey firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. When Ecuador's Cristian Sancho in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Western Springs FC's goalie prevented a goal.
