Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8th minute, Bruno Giordani made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 12th minute of play forced Vänge IF's goalkeeper Ciriaco Hernando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mauro Otsoa in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 19th minute of play forced Vänge IF's goalkeeper Ciriaco Hernando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ciriaco Hernando narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 21st minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Ciriaco Hernando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vänge IF's goalkeeper Ciriaco Hernando, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ciriaco Hernando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 29th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Giordani came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Primitivo Andino made in the 40th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Daniel Zorita. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ciriaco Hernando. Ciriaco Hernando dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Vänge IF's Markus Albäck was substituted for Mauro Otsoa. Vänge IF made a substitution. Zoltán Tálas replaced Rune Aspengren. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bruno Giordani was the one to do the kick off. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ciriaco Hernando read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Vänge IF's goalkeeper Ciriaco Hernando had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. With a little luck, Vänge IF's Ciriaco Hernando got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 64 minutes of play, Vänge IF's Markus Albäck made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! 66 minutes into the match, Vänge IF's goalkeeper Ciriaco Hernando had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. After a rather tough play, Vänge IF's Bruno Giordani got a free kick in the 70th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Markus Albäck in the 78th minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, Bruno Giordani cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Östen Olsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Östen Olsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ciriaco Hernando made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 92nd minute. After 93 minutes, Danilo Markel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vänge IF and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 94 played minutes Vänge IF got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Giordani. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Vänge IF had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
